Good Lord, I don't know what to say here. I could start off by stating what my livelihood is, but I'm reluctant to follow the status quo of introductions, defining myself first and foremost by my job. What the hell. May as well. OK, I'm a copy editor. I'm good with language, and I like critical thinking. I'm often very guarded, but I'm also an old softie, and I like to clap when other people would prefer to play it cool. I hear that I wear my heart on my sleeve. Is this a good thing, a good way to be described? I don't know. I keep meaning to look up the idiom's origin. :-) I have a great circle of friends I love. They've made me more human. My heart (and mostly I'm talking about the good stuff, like compassion) is a reflection of my family's longtime love. I don't like cowards, and I really get irked by attitudes of indifference and detachment from people who should know better. One of my favorite things is the sight of tree branches illuminated by a street light at night. I think a lot of men are pretty darn nifty, although I'm not interested in dating them. ;-) That's it for now.
